Re: Membership Dues Increase

Since 1985, the American Society for Healthcare Environmental Services (ASHES) has provided numerous programs and member services to the environmental services industry. Today we come to you for support in order to maintain membership benefits to this community.

Our redesigned web site continues to be a tremendous source for networking and usability related relevant and timely information. Our society continues to offer the best conference available for healthcare environmental services and other service oriented disciplines. We continue to expand on services, publications, recommended practice documents, electronic communication, regulatory updates and advisories, educational services, networking opportunities, supporting the Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Professional credential, and much more. All of this, added to the cost of living increase over the past few years, makes it necessary for ASHES to seek an increase in membership dues.

Over the past 5 years, ASHES has held the line on membership fees while still increasing value and services. For all of the above mentioned reasons, in 2006, the Board of Directors has approved an annual dues increase of just $10.00 for all membership categories to take effect on January 1, 2008.

We know membership increases are never something to look forward to. At the same time, we know that ASHES clearly provides a positive return on your investment. With your support, we will continue to offer a lineup of services and resources to help you in your career.

Thank you for your support.
