ASHES Conference Attendees Present Donation to St. Louis Charity
St. Louis, October 4, 2007 — Conference attendees from the American Society for Healthcare Environmental Services (ASHES) of the American Hospital Association donated $1,019.80 to Catch A Falling Star; a St. Louis based organization focusing on developmental issues affecting children with autism. As part of the ASHES 3rd Annual Hearts and Hands Volunteer Event, attendees were asked to donate $1.00 each in order to raise funds for this local charity. Jani-King International, an ASHES sponsor, matched the donations raised at the conference. With the help of the ASHES member and Jani-King, the grand total raised for Catch A Falling Star was $2039.60.
“For the past 3 years, ASHES attendees have been giving back to the community in the different cities that have hosted the Annual Conference,” says ASHES 2007 President Rose Hamann, CHESP. “Albert Einstein once said ‘The value of a man resides in what he gives and not in what he is capable of receiving’. These great words convey the dedication of all of our members to a better community.”
