ASHES Selects 2008 President
Chicago, October 11, 2007 - The American Society for Healthcare Environmental Services (ASHES) board of directors announced its selection of Tina Cermignano, CHESP, as society president for 2008.
Cermignano is the Operations Manager for Quality at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). She has been an ASHES member since 1987 and currently serves as an ASHES At-Large board member. Cermignano has 24 years health care experience, beginning her career in laundry services before moving to environmental services where she serves today.
"I am honored and humbled to serve the ASHES member organization and I am excited to play a role in the direction ASHES is headed," said Cermignano. "This is a critical time for environmental services professionals to be leading by example, best practice and mentoring. With an increased focus on infection control and quality it is vital for our members to be on the cutting edge. I'm looking forward to the challenges and will be looking to the ASHES membership to engage and assist us with executing the plans we have for 2008 and beyond."
Cermignano's term as President begins January 1, 2008.
