ASHES Announces Call for Abstracts for 2009 ASHES Annual Conference & Healthcare Marketplace

Chicago, July 9, 2009 — The American Society for Healthcare Environmental Services (ASHES) of the American Hospital Association (AHA) announced today the call for abstracts for the 2009 ASHES Annual Conference & Healthcare Marketplace, September 20-24, 2009.

ASHES is encouraging infection preventionists, epidemiologists, environmental services and other healthcare professionals to submit scientific abstracts to summarize  research, a thesis, controlled case or observational study or an in-depth analysis of a particular healthcare topic or discipline relevant to the work of environmental services.

Designed to stimulate discussion, learning and collaboration on critical issues such as those related to healthcare cleaning, surface disinfection, hand hygiene, patient satisfaction, employee training etc.; accepted abstract submissions will be displayed for attendee viewing throughout the duration of the conference. Up to eight abstract authors will be invited to present their research findings and conclusions at the ASHES Annual Conference during 15 minute power sessions on Monday September 21st and Tuesday September 22nd.
